The process of Gelli printing incorporates a gelatin plate (a reusable printing plate) that you use to transfer paint and patterns onto paper. Using a brayer, you spread paint onto the Gelli plate, add stencils or make marks with textured objects, then press your paper onto the plate. Once it’s removed, you’ll be left with some really interesting patterns and textures. There are infinite ways to create Gelli prints with various paints, inks, stencils, and techniques.
