A great way to check-out the Alternative Gallery and see what’s going on is to schedule a tour!
We offer both guided tours as well as self-tours!
Making our space accessible to all is essential to our mission, therefore Self-Tours are completely FREE!

SELF-TOUR - FREE
Donations are welcome of course!
Groups larger than 6 must schedule a guided tour.
GUIDED TOURS
30-minute Guided Tour - $5 per person
The 30-minute guided tour will take you through the main spaces of the Alternative Gallery and give you detailed history and information of each area.
Every tour is unique depending on what is happening at the building!
After the tour ends you & your group are welcome to continue walking around to explore!
60-minute Guided Tour - $10 per person
The 60-minute tour will take you deeper into the building and show you spaces such as the film archive, which are not generally open to the public.
4th Floor Artist Studio Tour.
After the tour ends you & your group are welcome to continue walking around to explore the building!

FAQs
Can I take photos & video?
You're welcome to take photos and videos of the space and the art, in fact we encourage you to do so! For personal and promotional use only of course. And please tag us on Social Media!
Anything that would be considered a photo shoot or music video will have to be approved in advance as to not interfere with the space.
Is the space All Ages?
Yes! Our space is suitable for All Ages!
Are food or beverages available for purchase?
We unfortunately do not serve food at our location. But there are several great places to eat within the neighborhood and especially down the 7th St. corridor. You’re welcome to bring in snacks & drinks to the space, just please don’t be messy :)
How far in advance do I need to schedule a tour?
We have no specific cutoff of when you have to schedule a tour, but we recommend submitting a request at least 24 hours in advance.
Am I guaranteed the date/time of my request?
The Alternative Gallery is run entirely by volunteers who all have different schedules, this prevents us from always being available to give tours or open up for self-tours. So we cannot guarantee that the date/time in your request can be met, but we try to accommodate whenever we can!
If you’re requested date/time isn’t available, we’ll send some alternatives in its place.
How do I request a Group Discount?
